Bring my body upright

Bare feet kiss the tiled floor

Cuppa tea, splash of milk

Sugar, one then two

Inhale, sit by the window

Exhale, peer out at the view

In a few, I will follow

I will venture out too

Drink in the day

What else is there to do?

Leave water in the kettle

For when I shuttle back through

A door, lighter than before

A turned handle, something new
